Chemawa Indian School Pole Barn with Concrete Pad
- The 4H program at the Chemawa Indian Boarding School, located in Salem Oregon, identified a need for additional space to house the animals and the program’s supplies. A pole barn was determined to be the best way to achieve those goals.
- Efficio provided an engineered design for a 60′ x 60′ pole barn with a five-inch (5″) reinforced concrete finished floor
- After a thorough site analysis, Efficio determined the original intended location for the pole barn was unsuitable. We worked with the Chemawa Indian Boarding school in locating an alternate location based on geotechnical testing and existing site conditions
- Presentation Through extensive pre-construction and design meetings and in collaboration with our client, the scope of work was expanded to better meet the long-term needs of the school
- During the construction of the pole barn, Efficio was impacted by regular heavy rainfall during December. This weather dramatically slowed the progress of the site work due to over-saturation. Through creative and aggressive scheduling and maximizing productivity in the windows of work available, Efficio was able to complete the project within the 60-day contract period.
