DPW & MICC, Temporary Fire Station 7
- The construction of Fort Bliss Fire Station #7 was essential in the opening of the new state of the art $1.4 billion dollar William Beaumont Army Medical Center.
- The existing Ft. Bliss fire station coverage was deemed insufficient and the government fast tracked a “temporary” structure to provide the necessary coverage for the new hospital
- Under very tight project deadlines, Efficio dealt with severe logistical and supply chain constraints created by the Covid-19 Global pandemic
- Through innovative parallel scheduling and contingency planning, Efficio provided two structures to guarantee the Government’s needs were met.
- A temporary canopy and modular structure were first installed for the Fort Bliss Fire Department to utilize on site while the construction of the permanent building was underway. This ensured the William Beaumont Army Medical Center could open as scheduled. These temporary facilities (the canopy and the modular structure) were removed at the end of construction of the permanent building.
- Fort Bliss Fire Station #7 is in operation 24 hours a day and consists of a living/working space for the fire department and an apparatus bay for the fire truck.
- These accommodations include a full kitchen, utility/ laundry room, communication room, five (5) bedroom/office spaces, a training/lounge area, and two (2) unisex restrooms with showers.
- The apparatus bay was constructed from a pre-engineered metal building and houses one fire truck. It includes a rollup door, heater, truck exhaust system, and a building exhaust system.
